I did it, for two years now and I’m pretty satisfied with the results.
After reading that Miranda Kerr used coconut oil once she gave birth to her son Flynn, and a couple of cousins from Florida were using it on regular bases (ah those Floridian girls), I decided to give it a try.
I started to have a spoon every morning and evening for maybe a month. I couldn’t anymore. Its taste became so disgusting, I couldn’t smell coconut for a while. But I had invested in a big pot and I didn’t want to waste it so I thought external use would help as well.
I started to use it as a body oil, first every after bath or shower then every evening. Also, every time I was planning to stay long under the sun during summer time I would apply some all over my body.
Well, guess what! My skin begin to get a natural shimmer and while I cannot say whether it improved any signs of cellulite or stretch marks (yes, I have them like most of you), it definitely didn’t affect negatively. In two years-time that I’m using it I don’t have additional imperfections so…
I’m happy to keep what I have so far and no more. My suggestion is to use it by doing a massage while applying it. Use the last remaining oil from your hands into your face. Don’t rub it. Just place your hands in your chicks and forehead. Your face deserves some shimmer too. Ah, and by doing all this, be informed that your nails are profiting “by accident” as well.
Let me know if it worked for you too.
