You can make your own 3-1 formula, that you will absolutely love. I have seen the difference on my skin in after 4 days.

Although you may have already found a way to make your own face moisturizer, but when it comes to anti-aging skin care, do you stick with what’s on the market? The anti-aging face cream you use on the reg doesn’t have to be a concoction derived from the belaboring of white-coat clad scientists. In fact, the most effective and truly anti-aging remedies happen to be nature’s most simple and pure ingredients. Mix up this homemade anti-aging face cream and you’ll soften fine lines and moisturize skin, revealing a fresher and younger you.

The ingredients in this anti-aging cream, individually have a profound affect on the facial skin, but together they complement one another in terms of texture, scent, and complexion benefits.

Almond oil is an emollient, which means it makes the skin softer, and less harsh and abrasive. It has historically been used to treat psoriasis, eczema, and scarring. It smoothes and rejuvenates skin and improves complexion and skin tone.

Carrot seed oil benefits can be attributed to its properties as an antiseptic, disinfectant, detoxifying, antioxidant, anti-carcinogenic, carminative, depurative, diuretic, emenagogue, stimulant, cytophylactic, tonic, and vermifuge substance.

Cinnamon oil is one of the most popular herbs for flavoring and medicinal uses. Although cinnamon oil has numerous health benefits, it often causes irritations and allergic reactions. Use not more that 2-3 drops. Cinnamon is now being used all over the world for the treatment of a variety of health disorders including respiratory problems, skin infections, blood impurity, menstrual problems, and various heart disorders.

Carrot seed essential oil, as the name suggests, is extracted by steam distillation, primarily from the dried seeds of wild carrot, but also from the dried plant itself. Its scientific name is Daucus Carota, and the wild carrot is common in Europe, though it is often known by another name in that region, which is “Queen Anne’s Lace”.

The astringent properties of rosemary essential oil make it beneficial for skin care. It contains a wide array of nutrients such as iron, calcium, vitamins and antioxidants. Thus, this oil is effective for all skin types and is used as an ingredient in skin care cleansers, soaps, face masks, toners and creams. It is my favorite oil when it comes to treat acne problems.

In fact I call it acne killer oil!

Massaging your skin with rosemary essential oil re-hydrates and tones your skin (8). It removes wrinkles and bags on the skin, thus keeping it taut and healthy. Its cell regeneration properties are effective in treating visible skin conditions and replacing the damaged tissue, thus reducing the appearance of scars and spots.

In one study, virgin coconut oil had the strongest scavenging effect on free radicals and the highest antioxidant activity. In another study, the antioxidant activity of virgin coconut oil was found to result in an increase of antioxidants and self-healing compounds of the body, resulting in rapid formation of cells and blood vessels in harmed areas. These studies are significant in that they indicate coconut oil’s antioxidant capacity and antioxidants are known to have considerable anti-aging effects.

Beeswax and shea butter both hold anti-inflammatory properties, vitamin E provides a boost of antioxidant power, and essential oils provide a pleasant aroma.

Homemade 3-1 Moisturizing, Healing, Anti-Aging Face Cream
Makes about ½ cup (lasts about 3 months)

Ingredients

 ¼ cup almond oil
4 drops of Carrot seed oil
2 drops of cinnamon oil
3 drops of rosemary oil
2 tablespoons coconut oil
2 tablespoons beeswax
½ teaspoon vitamin E oil
1 tablespoon shea butter
other Essential oils of choice (optional)

Preparation:

Place all ingredients in a glass jar. Bring a pot filled about 3-4 inches with water to a simmer. Put the jar, without its lid, in the pot, and let it sit there until the ingredients have melted. Stir occasionally. Once the mixture has melted and all is evenly combined, pour it into a small glass jar. Let it sit at room temperature until the cream hardens, close the jar’s lid, and store in a cool place. Apply morning and night after washing.
